The short version

BlackBeltDesigns Audio Manager collects nothing, sends nothing, and has no servers. Everything it does happens inside your browser, on your own machine.

What the extension does with data

Audio. The extension processes the audio of the YouTube Music page you are playing, using the browser’s built-in Web Audio API. That processing happens live, in memory, on your device. Audio is never recorded, stored, copied or transmitted anywhere.

Your settings. Your equaliser curve, enhancement settings, visualiser preferences and any presets you save are written to Chrome’s local extension storage (chrome.storage.local) on your own computer, so they are still there next time you open YouTube Music. This data never leaves your device. You can export it to a file yourself from the Settings tab, and uninstalling the extension deletes it.

Page information. While the full-screen visualiser is on, the extension reads the currently playing track’s title, artist and album art from the YouTube Music page so it can display them on screen. This is read and shown in the moment; nothing is stored or sent.

What the extension does not do

No analytics, telemetry, crash reporting or usage tracking of any kind
No accounts, logins or identifiers
No advertising, and no data sold or shared with anyone
No network requests — the extension contacts no server, including ours
No remote code: all code is contained in the published package
No access to any website other than https://music.youtube.com

Permissions and why they exist

Permission	Why
`storage`	Saves your settings and presets locally so they persist between sessions.
Access to `https://music.youtube.com`	The extension must run inside that page to connect to its audio and display its controls. It requests no other site.

Children

The extension is a general-purpose audio tool and is not directed at children. It collects no information from anyone, of any age.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this address and the “last updated” date above will change.
